823 is proud to present a series of recordings that showcase the musical and visual output of emerging artists. Our third release, ’Black & White’ comes from duo 'Please Wait' (Ta-ku and Matt Mcwaters).

Please Wait is the culmination of numerous online exchanges and years of sharing voice memos, stems, musical ideas & TikTok links between Ta-ku and Matt McWaters. Their cathartic approach to this body of work has been more about self expression than anything else and has culminated in an EP that covers a range of issues and experiences from different times in their lives.

Cover art for this series of releases showcases photography shot on film by the artist. The 12” vinyl also comes with an oversize photographic zine that captures the life of the artist at the time of writing and recording.‍
